I am Chantelle Fakhry, and my vision is to capture emotions and memories through my lens. At the young age of ten, I had my very first camera. It was a very basic one, but I truly treasured it. I believe I had my camera before my first mobile phone. Many cameras followed, lost photos from SD cards and many beautiful moments. From a young age, I was always fascinated and excited about the idea of photography. I would take hundreds and hundreds of photographs whilst on family holidays, or simply whilst being around family and friends. It gave me a sense of happiness. Family and friends would always point out my ‘eye for the camera’ when I would show them photographs I had taken.

 

Throughout my teenage years, I didn’t envision pursuing it, until something sparked within me and I purchased my first Canon four years on. The best decision I have ever made in my life. The feeling of being able to capture raw emotion and feelings within people, is simply indescribable. Ive always been creative and loved all aspects of art. Photography, in my eyes is an art.

 

There are many aspects of photography that I admire, I love having the ability to pause a moment of complete and utter purity by the click of a finger, which then turns into a keepsake and a monumental memory for others, to be able to do that for others, is truly special and rewarding feeling, to me. The feedback from clients overwhelms me with joy and happiness. One of the many reasons that I love what I do. It truly does not feel like ‘work’, I love everything from capturing to editing and meeting many wonderful people.

 

I believe you can truly tell a story with a series of images. My style of photography is candid.  I like to capture real, natural and authentic feelings. 

 

I like to see myself a photographer, not tied to a specific area or concept, I enjoy capturing all elements of the wonderful thing we call life.
